Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank Goes Mainstream

"Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank," a big winner at the 7th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition, is going mainstream.

Star Cinema has offered to distribute the film nationwide starting Wednesday, August 3. Star Cinema is ABS-CBN's movie outfit.

A celebrity premiere night was held on Tuesday night at Gateway Cinema 1 in Cubao, Quezon City. Star Magic Head Johnny Manahan, comedy actors Pokwang and Chokoleit, actors Sam Milby and Enchong Dee, actress Lorna Tolentino and hosts Toni Gonzaga and KC Concepcion were spotted at the premiere.

"Oras ito ni Uge, kanya ito. Ibigay natin sa kanya ito dahil karapat-dapat lang dahil sobrang sipag at sobrang husay na tao," Pokwang said, referring to Eugene Domingo, the lead star of "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank."

"Napanood ko ang 'Kimmy Dora,' doon pa lang tuwang tuwa na ako so hindi mo dapat palampasin ang pelikula ni Uge kung gusto mong sumaya," added Tolentino.

Domingo, meanwhile, expressed thanked her fans for their unending support.

"Ako ay nagpapasalamat talaga kasi di ko inaasahan na kahit ganito ang panahon, alam ko eh busy sila pero nagdatingan sila," she said.

"Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank" was rated A by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG 13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
