Xian Lim Eats the Food Brought by Jolo Revilla for Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu Welcomes Gerald Anderson's New Leading Lady

Kim Chiu reacted to a "Showbiz News Ngayon" report that Jessy Mendiola has been receiving hate mail and negative tweets since she started working with Gerald Anderson for the television project "Budoy."

Anderson is Chiu's long-time on-screen partner.

The report said that some members of "Kimerald," or fans of the loveteam of Chiu and Anderson, do not like the latter's new leading lady.

Chiu maintained, however, that most of the Kimeralds have already expressed support for Anderson and Mendiola.

"Alam ko wala naman [issue]. Siguro mga dalawa or isa lang 'yon. Sa 100% siguro mga 5% lang 'yon at ang 95% naka-suporta sa kanila," Chiu told abs-cbnNEWS.com in an interview during a press conference for her upcoming series, "My Binondo Girl," which will premiere on ABS-CBN on August 22.

And siyempre mas matutuwa ako kasi may taong nag-aalaga sa kanya."

In a recent interview, Mendiola said she fully understands the reaction of some fans.

Members of "Kimerald Forever" have denied that the hate mail came from them.

Meanwhile, Chiu also addressed speculations that some female stars are now afraid to work with Anderson because of the diehard fans of their loveteam.

May kanya-kanya na kaming buhay ngayon," she said.

Chiu said what is important now is that she and Anderson are good friends.

New Kapamilya Paulo Avelino Dreams of Working With Kim Chiu

Paulo Avelino recently signed a three-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, and in an interview following the signing, he expressed his gratitude to the Kapamilya network. Thankful and happy ako na ABS-CBN accepted me.

Paulo started out in showbiz as part of an artista search on another network. He clarified that there’s no bad blood between him and his former bosses, and that his decision to switch was for the growth of his career. Gusto ko lang mag-explore, go out of my comfort zone. I want to re-invent myself. For my career growth lang.”

The projects in store for the 23-year-old actor is still under wraps, but according to him, he would love to hone his skills in dramatic acting. He recently starred in the Cinemalaya movie Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwa ang Paa.

When asked who among the Kapamilya leading ladies he would love to work with, Paulo named My Binondo Girl star Kim Chiu.

Meanwhile, among the ABS-CBN leading men, Paulo said he has so much respect for Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin actor Coco Martin. Madami akong matututunan.”

But Paulo clarified that he didn’t come to ABS-CBN to compete or outshine anyone. He explained that he just want to become a better actor and learn new things in the industry.

Kim Chiu Ready to Love Again

Following her so-called breakup with actor and long-time on-screen partner Gerald Anderson last year, Kim Chiu said she is ready to fall in love again.

"Alam mo okay na ako at ready na [to fall in love]," she said.

Asked about the "color" of her heart," the actress said, "Pulang pula na siya, pinkish pa. Hindi na siya kulay lumot."

Chiu denied rumors that she is not entertaining suitors because she is still hoping to get back together with Anderson.

Thankful," she said.

The actress also dismissed speculations that she is still in pain after she talked about her past relationship with Anderson on "The Buzz" last Sunday.

"Naiyak lang ako kasi may sad music at may taong nakatitig sa akin.

Currently, Chiu is busy taping for her comeback television series, "My Binondo Girl," which will premiere on August 22 on ABS-CBN.

Jolo Revilla Admires Kim Chiu

Actor Jolo Revilla admitted he admires Kim Chiu for being a good actress and person.

Kung baga 'yon, iniidolo ko siya," he said in an interview during a press conference for their upcoming show, "My Binondo Girl."

Revilla made the statement after rumors circulated that he was wooing Chiu.

The young actor said that he and Chiu are just good friends.

Revilla said that for now, he is only committed to his work.

"Walang [babae sa puso ko]. Pahinga muna tayo diyan at trabaho," he said.

Kim Chiu Proud of Gerald Anderson's Accomplishments

Unlike her previous interviews, Kim Chiu is now more comfortable talking about her former on screen partner Gerald Anderson. The young actress even expressed her support for his upcoming projects including his teleserye Budoy where he stars opposite Jessy Mendiola and a possible movie with Sarah Geronimo. I’m proud of him dahil ang dami na niyang narating. Nagkaroon na siya ng hit na movie [Catch Me…I’m In Love] tapos magkakaroon ulit siya ng bagong movie bukod dun sa ginagawa niyang soap ngayon.”

It’s been a year since they were last paired in Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, and Kim is really hoping for positive feedback on her first primetime soap without Gerald.

Kim is quite speechless though when told that Gerald is wishing her well not only in terms of her career but even with her love life as well. Apparently, he is aware of the fact that she has been surrounded with several admirers lately. “Wala, hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko,” she says in between laughs. “Pero salamat dahil nag-react siya sa mga ganon, dahil sa mga sinabi niyang magagandang salita for me.”

Although they don’t have constant communication, Kim said it’s enough to know that he’ll still be there for her when she needs help.

Meamwhile, Chiu was also game in addressing question if she would be willing to do a kissing scene with a girl.

Kim Chiu Tells Moustache Incident While Taping in Hongkong

Drama Princess Kim Chiu said she is happy to return to primetime television with her upcoming series, "My Binondo Girl."

She thanked ABS-CBN for giving her an opportunity to go abroad to shoot some scenes.

"Ito 'yung pinakaunang show na magte-taping kami sa ibang bansa -- and Hong Kong pa -- para sa isang teleserye. Kaya masaya at excited kasi bagong experience for me," Chiu said in an taped interview in Hong Kong last week, which was aired on "The Buzz" on Sunday.

Everything was working well in Hong Kong, Chiu said, until a stranger attempted to burn her fake mustache while she was looking around some shops.

Some scenes in "My Binondo Girl" require Chiu to be dressed as a man.

Lumapit sa akin, ganito ka-lapit," the actress said, with her hand a few inches away from her face.

"Sinigawan ko siya! Tapos susunugin niya 'yung bigote ko. May ginanung lighter. Sabi ko, 'aaaaaaaa!' Tapos tumakbo ako," she added, laughing.

Kim Chiu Excited to be Back on Primetime

Even though she came straight from taping an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, Kim Chiu made sure that she arrived in time for the Star Magic Games held last July 31. The young actress showcased her sporty side as she scored lots of points during the badminton and volleyball games. Last year din madami ako nasalihan na games. Mas madami kaysa ngayon kasi segue pa ako sa MMK taping,” said Kim who was all smiles right after her victorious badminton tournament with Kristel Moreno as partner versus Erich Gonzales and her handler Kate Dolino.

Aside from playing her favorite sports, Kim spent the rest of the day bonding with her close friends Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli, and Enchong Dee. The four of them happily sat on the sidelines while waiting for the awarding ceremony and the ASAP Rocks versus Star Magic exhibition game. She didn’t get much of a chance to talk to last year’s Most Valuable Player Gerald Anderson who came in late and was busy acting as the coach of the Green Team during the basketball championship. He later played for the much-awaited all-star exhibition game and racked up 31 points for the team.

Push.com.ph also took the chance to ask Kim about her upcoming teleserye My Binondo Girl. Although this is her first full-length soap without Gerald, Kim revealed that their fans have been very supportive of their individual projects to date. Actually, lagi nga silang nasa taping namin, kaya masayang-masaya ako.”

Kim was also excited about the newly-released teaser for My Binondo Girl. As it is, it’s been a while since she last appeared on TV via Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.

Blogatorials: The Kim Chiu-Erich Gonzales Rivalry

Rivalries give excitement to showbusiness. Remember Vilma Santos-Nora Aunor, Sharon Cuneta-Maricel Soriano, Judy Ann Santos-Claudine Barretto, so now ABS-CBN is strengthening the rivalry of two of their hottest young actresses, Erich Gonzales and Kim Chiu.

Erich and Kim are both product of reality/talent shows and are part of Chiurogogobaschu, a group of girlfriends which also includes Melissa Ricks and Empress. Earlier this year, the two were gossipped of having a rift. ABS-CBN is now using this rivalry to boost more the career of these two young big stars. They were casted as the young Lorna Tolentino and Amy Austria on Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. Now that Erich's Maria la del Barrio will premiere this August on Primetime Bida, Kim's Binondo Girl will also head on collision in the primetime block.

What else? Erich is said to be doing a movie with Thai hearthrob Mario Maurer, while Kim will do a movie with the Star of all Season Vilma Santos.

The rivalry between the two ABS-CBN homegrown stars just proved that all the biggest stars are in ABS-CBN.
