Judy Ann Santos Confirms Movie With Coco Martin

Actress Judy Ann Santos definitely has her hands full with her show business career as she already has a number of projects she is set to do.

In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Monday, Santos confirmed that she will do a movie with actor Coco Martin soon.

Akin yan,’” she said.

According to Santos, it will be her first project in year 2012.

Santos will also do a movie with her husband, actor Ryan Agoncillo, this coming Metro Manila Film Festival in December.

Aside from this, Santos is set to have her TV comeback soon through the Filipino version of the “Junior Master Chef.”

It’s a path worth trying,” she said.

Meanwhile, the award-winning actress said she is happy to be able to balance her time between work and family.

“Masyadong komportable ang schedule sa akin. Maaga ako natatapos, may time pa ako sa mga bata. Napapatulog ko pa sila. Napapakain ko pa sila ng breakfast,” Santos said.

Angeline Quinto Chooses Coco Martin Over Erik Santos

"Star Power" champ Angeline Quinto admitted that, given the chance, she would definitely pick "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" star Coco Martin over singing sensation Erik Santos.

In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Friday, Quinto revealed that Martin has been her longtime crush even before she entered showbiz.

“Si Coco Martin, parang pantasya ko ‘yon e,” she blurted.

She even expressed how much she appreciated Martin’s surprise guesting during her recently concluded solo concert, wherein he gave her a necklace.

Meanwhile, Quinto also said she admires Santos.

She explained, “Si Kuya Erik kasi dati talagang crush ko ‘yan kasi idol ko siya sa pagkanta simula nung nanalo siya sa 'Star in a Million.'”

But as much as she openly adores Santos, Quinto said what she feels toward him is more of brotherly affection.

In a separate interview, Santos, admitted that he, too, admires Quinto as an artist.

“Medyo kilala ko na si Angeline and ang masasabi ko na napakabait niya, napaka-professional and hardworking,” he said.

He even added that he is looking forward to their upcoming concert abroad

Judy Ann Santos' Movie With Coco Martin Postponed for Next Year

Judy Ann Santos is busy again with a new TV project as she is currently taping for Junior MasterChef: Pinoy Edition wherein she will serve as host, her first time ever to take on such a responsibility. Last July 4, she graced the blessing of the JMC kitchen and the entire set together with ABS-CBN executives and the production team of the show.

In an interview that followed after the blessing, the Young Superstar talked about happy she is that as JMC host, she is not required to show emotions, unlike in the numerous teleseryes and movies she did in the past.

She explained that as host she needs to show strength and give support to the kids during tense moments all throughout the competition. No acting involved dito. Hindi ka pwedeng umarte.”

But what Judy Ann found very tough was how to keep her authority with the kids and at the same time be a caring second mother to them. We need to keep a little distance rin kasi sa mga kids para may konting pangingilag.

While taping JMC, which is set to air on ABS-CBN very soon, the actress will also begin shooting a movie for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival co-starring her husband Ryan Agoncillo. “Pumasok sa MMFF for this year ‘yung My House Husband namin ni Ryan. Excited kami ni Ryan na makatrabaho uli after a long time.

She was also supposed to do a film with Coco Martin for coming MMFF, but due to the festival’s rules, the project will have to be postponed for next year. Naniniwala ako na everything happens for a reason.

No reason for her to be worried though because the film will still push through by 2012. Judy Ann said the untitled movie will be a light romantic story. Baka early next year or middle of next year namin simulan.”

The actress has not had the chance to meet or speak with Coco, but she admitted that she admires the actor for his numerous achievements, including being awarded as Aktor ng Dekada by the Gawad Urian. Good job, Coco. Keep it up!”

What is it like to have two moms? Starting this Monday on “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin,” Coco Martin (as Javier) faces such dilemma. He get’s torn between Lorna Tolentino (Alondra) and Amy Austria-Ventura (Lora) who are both starting to fight over his custody.

Coco Martin Won Star Awards for Movie Best Actor

Actor Coco Martin said he is dedicating his Movie Actor of the Year award to Christopher de Leon.

In an interview, Martin said it is an honor for him to be nominated in the same category as de Leon, who is already a veteran in the entertainment industry.

He, however, refused to be compared to him, saying he is just a newbie in show business.

Napakagaling at napakabait niyang katrabaho. Nagkatrabaho din kasi kami sa Sa ’yo Lamang,” he said.

Martin also recalled his experience when he got to work with de Leon in the past.

He said he was in awe with how the veteran actor has remained grounded despite his achievements in his career.

Meanwhile, Martin thanked the Philippine Movie Press Club for the recognition that they gave him.

Martin was hailed as the Movie Actor of The Year in the 27th Star Awards for movies last June 21.

Maja Salvador Talks About Coco Martin

After many years of being paired with different leading men, Maja Salvador is very happy that her latest team-up with Coco Martin has gained a lot of supporters. According to the talented actress, sharing a special bond with him off cam is an even greater bonus.

Maja revealed that she was particularly impressed with Coco’s love for his grandmother. Apparently, she noticed that he often thinks about his lola’s welfare even while they’re working on the set of Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

What’s more interesting is that Maja has experienced being the object of Coco’s affection as well. As his leading lady, the young actress admitted that she appreciates the way he takes care of her on the set.

But when asked if she feels that it’s Coco’s way of expressing an attraction towards her, Maja was quick to say that only time would tell if they’d end up being more than just friends. “Ayoko magsalita.

Didn’t she know that she was one of Coco’s celebrity crushes when he was just starting out in the biz? “Hahaha!

Coco Martin Defends Maja Salvador

Coco Martin was quick to defend Maja Salvador against recent reports accusing her of being a playgirl. In fact, he said that it’s easy to see why she has a flock of admirers. The more na tumatagal ang pagkakakilala namin sa isa’t isa, the more na nagiging close kami. May time nga minsan pinapakain niya kami sa bahay niya or yung mommy niya nagpupunta sa set para magdala ng food sa amin. Kaya nga sabi ko, kung marami man nali-link sa kanya, dapat lang, kasi napakaganda at napakabait niya,” said Coco in an interview with Push.com.ph during the Star Awards for Movies last June 22.

When asked if it’s true that he’s one of Maja’s current suitors, Coco explained that it’s not yet the right time for him to pursue her off cam. As it is, he refused to take advantage of their growing friendship on the set of their current soap, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

There’s no denying the fact that the two are kindred spirits given their similar humble beginnings and how it drives them to make the best out of their showbiz career.

But Coco insisted that it’s too early for him to say if he is considering courting Maja for real.

“Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” still reigns on its timeslot. According to Kantar Media’s national ratings result last week, “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin” earned a national rating of 26.3% beating the rival teleserye’s 16.6%.

Maja doesn’t want to miss the Kapamilya Karavan, as she also wants to personally extend her gratitude to the people of Tacloban.

“Tacloban City’s Fiestavaganza is a time of thanksgiving for their patron saint. It’s also an opportune time to thank them for supporting our teleserye by giving them my best performance,” Maja said.

Kapamilya hunk Ron, on the other hand, would like to make the Kapamilya Karavan “hotter” than ever. “I’ll make this show hot. That’s for sure. Be there,” he said.

With all these big stars geared up, RNG’s Kapamilya Karavan never fails to bring happiness to country’s happiest and most colorful fiestas.

Jake Cuenca and Coco Martin Reunite on Upcoming Teleserye

After his notable performance in the movie In The Name Of Love, Jake Cuenca is slated to do a new teleserye entitled Ang Huling El Bimbo under Star TV (Star Cinema’s production outfit for local dramas). It came as a big surprise on Jake’s part since he only learned about the project during Star Cinema’s trade launch last June 16. “I don’t know the details yet. Seryoso, nagulat ako. While waiting for my turn to perform backstage, I was watching the VTR. Based sa napanood ko ha, makakasama ko sila Coco Martin, Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil and Martin del Rosario,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.

If the project pushes through, Jake further shared that it would be great to be able to work again with his former Tayong Dalawa co-star Coco Martin. In fact, he would have preferred it if the soap also includes their good friend Gerald Anderson. As it is, Gerald was listening in our interview and was teasing Jake about leaving him out of the project.
Kapag nagkataon, tatanggapin namin agad yun.”

In the meantime, Jake expressed his gratitude to Star Cinema for tapping him for another big project. And I just want to apply everything I’ve learned with my every project,” he finally stated.
