Angeline Quinto Sings Way Back Home Theme Song

“Star Power” champion Angeline Quinto believes it is an honor to sing the theme song of Star Cinema’s latest movie offering, “Way Back Home.”

Quinto told “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Tuesday that she found it extremely challenging to belt out her own rendition of Lea Salonga’s “You’re My Home.”

Meanwhile, Quinto admitted that she has never taken off the necklace given to her by her long-time showbiz crush, Coco Martin.

To return the favor, Quintos revealed that she plans to buy Martin a present for his upcoming birthday.

Sarah Geronimo is Okay With Doing a Concert With Angeline Quinto

Sarah Geronimo seemed to exude more self-confidence ever since she arrived from her month-long vacation in the US where she studied to hone her singing and dancing skills.

On her return to ASAP after her US vacation, Sarah had a production number with Angeline Quinto, which was a bit of a surprise since she previously made it known that she was not comfortable performing with the latter because people constantly make comparisons of them. “Nasasanay na rin po ako,” Sarah answered when asked why she had a change of heart. She continued that it was not the first time she was pitted against a fellow singer because she was also compared with other singers before like Rachelle Ann Go.

She justified that even Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano are still being compared to each other even after so many years in the business.

The actress-host also confirmed that she and Angeline are even textmates. Nagkasama kami sa Star For A Night. Kilala namin ‘yung kulay ng bawat isa.”

Asked if she is willing to have a concert with Angeline, Sarah said, “Opo naman.” She clarified that she has nothing against performing with Angeline but she becomes uncomfortable when people bring them for a showdown. ‘’Yun ‘yung lumalabas. Hindi po ‘yon totoo.”

Angeline Quinto Chooses Coco Martin Over Erik Santos

"Star Power" champ Angeline Quinto admitted that, given the chance, she would definitely pick "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" star Coco Martin over singing sensation Erik Santos.

In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Friday, Quinto revealed that Martin has been her longtime crush even before she entered showbiz.

“Si Coco Martin, parang pantasya ko ‘yon e,” she blurted.

She even expressed how much she appreciated Martin’s surprise guesting during her recently concluded solo concert, wherein he gave her a necklace.

Meanwhile, Quinto also said she admires Santos.

She explained, “Si Kuya Erik kasi dati talagang crush ko ‘yan kasi idol ko siya sa pagkanta simula nung nanalo siya sa 'Star in a Million.'”

But as much as she openly adores Santos, Quinto said what she feels toward him is more of brotherly affection.

In a separate interview, Santos, admitted that he, too, admires Quinto as an artist.

“Medyo kilala ko na si Angeline and ang masasabi ko na napakabait niya, napaka-professional and hardworking,” he said.

He even added that he is looking forward to their upcoming concert abroad

Angeline Quinto Overwhelmed With Praises from Regine Velasquez

One of Angeline Quintos' cloud nine moments was when The Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez remarked that she is the next Superstar after their duet in Angeline's first concert "Patuloy ang Pangarap" last July 15.

But this same remark stirred up comments from different people, especially the loyal fans of Nora Aunor, who believe that the singer-actress is irreplaceable.

Meanwhile, Angeline, as well as her fans, is looking forward to her first movie in which she is rumored to be paired with her showbiz crush, Coco Martin.

Sarah Geronimo Happy for the Success of Angeline Quinto

Despite intrigues pitting her against Angeline Quinto, Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo said she is genuinely happy to see the "Star Power" champion's star rising.

In an interview with Push.com.ph during her band rehearsal with Concert King Martin Nievera last July 6, Geronimo reiterated that she doesn’t consider Angeline Quinto as a threat.

Hindi magandang ugali 'yon e,” she said.

Geronimo also addressed the rumor saying she went to the United States and studied voice and dancing lessons just to have an edge over Quinto.

Ako naman, I’ve always tried to improve my craft,” she said.

Geronimo added she is completely happy for Quinto because she has gone through the same experience when she was just starting out.

“Basta I am so happy sa nararating ni Angeline ngayon. Siyempre naintindihan ko ‘yan kasi pinagdaanan ko ‘yan eh. Pinagdaanan namin pareho ‘yan. Masayang-masaya ako na 'yong mga kasabayan ko [sa pagkanta] unti-unti kaming nakakaakyat [at nakikilala sa industriyang ginagalawan namin],” she said.

Meanwhile, Geronimo revealed that she is now ready to go back to work again after her vacation in the States.

“I feel refreshed and well-rested din. Hahaha! Kahit papaano nandoon din 'yong peace,” she said.
