We've been following this challenge with eager anticipation from here in the U.K and we are very excited about the results. Once 1st round simulator qualifiers had been announced we voted lik crazy on the apps we thought should go through to the next round and the results are here! OK, so the simulator phase results of the bada developer challenge were released today. Congrats to everyone that made it this far. Those that didn't make it, please keep trying via the usual app certification route.It means the handsets will be on their way to the developers and the next phase of voting can begin and this is where we come in. We can influence the judges if we get enough people behind a certain app...Developers - please spread the word and tell us who we should vote for!

bada Developer Challenge - Round One Submission Now Closed!

Well, if you missed entry to this and have a fantastic app burning away in your IDE that's a real shame, as we've been talking about not a lot else for the last week and the prizes were big enough to really make a difference.... You guessed it, the submission process for the Samsung bada Developer Challenge is now closed, however don't fret! If you simply must develop your app for bada (and of course we would love you too) you can still do so via the Seller Site as usual - Simply visit http://seller.samsungapps.com to register!

bada Global Developer Challenge - Judging Criteria

Only a few days left to go now to submit entries for the Global bada Developer Challenge! I hope you've all made submission successfully and got your hero apps in on time. Lets look at the criteria again - 

Judging Criteria

1. Uniqueness
    How unique and creative is the application in the way that it uses the bada platform?

2. Commercial potential
    How useful is the application for the mass-market? Would customers use it?

3. Functionality
    Does the application work quickly and effectively without any issues?

4. Usability
    Is the application simple to understand and easy to use?

5. Design
    Does the application have a professional feel and user experience that integrates well 

    with the device?

As mentioned yesterday, we're in the last week of entry for the bada Global Developer Challenge, so I thought it'd be nice to drool over the prizes again one more time. bada Global Developer Challenge - Final Submission Week!

This week marks the start of the countdown to the deadline for submissions to the Global Developer Challenge. Once we hit the 31st August, the simulator phase will end and the top 300 lucky entrants will receive a free Wave handset for entering their application in the challenge.

Samsung bada London Dev Day - registration closes tomorrow!

All good things come to an end and registration for our London bada Dev Day is no exception. We'll be taking down the registration page around noon tomorrow (Monday the 14th), so if you want to get your details over to get on the list you better be quick!

If you've already registered - make sure to get there early. We're going to be @ capacity!
