Ok folks. Reports are just in. Consumer Reports has provided the reviews that I’ve been searching for. No bias, no brand worshipping, just good ol’ fashioned, tell it like you see it.
The list is simple, it shows 3D LED TVs from most of the top brands; LG, Samsung, Sony, Vizio, Toshiba, and Sharp. The categories include; 3D effect, backlighting, energy consumption, and a few others. LG is in rare form, receiving a 76 point rating, followed by Sony with a 74 point rating. Samsungs models are in dead last @57 and 58 points.
The interesting part is that the LG model (LW5600) outperformed Samsung’s UND58000 by over 19 points despite costing less than half of what the Samsung’s model cost. Seems like I’m going to save a lot of money on TV’s this year.
