THE Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles has the looks of a pito-pito movie which is not the trademark of Star Cinema.From the trailer that was shown, it has the stamp of being wacky, silly and riotous.PBB winner Melai Cantiveros gives the performance of a lifetime as she blindly follow orders from director Soxy Topacio as the Farrell brothers would of Jim Carey. Remember Dumb and Dumber?
For the mis-informed, Soxy Topacio directed Ded Na Si Lolo and it emerged as a surprise hit as an indie offering. And above all, it became the Philippines' entry to the Oscars' best foreign language film category. Don't be surprised if the Melai /Jason starrer emerged as the funniest movie in 2011. It may even beat the mild success of Forever and A Day at the box-office.
