PS4 CPU might be in development

This CPU would be twice as fast as the processor currently used in the Playstation 3 platform and count on 32nm with 16SPEs in the new Cell

Just to get an idea of the top line of the i7 intel currently has these specifications:

Intel Core i7 990x
3.46GHz processor Core i7

And the PS4 CPU, has these specifications:

Cell IBM

3.2GHz Cell processor

Maximum 230 GFLOPS

This new line of processors which Sony, in conjunction with IBM, is working on will involve the PS4, Sony Bravia TV and Vaio notebook. Although Sony says the PS4 is far from its launching, sources say the company would already be thinking and developing the components. We await further news.
