Xiaqiang might known as the smartest dolphin in this world, this dolphin could paint on a canvas. like we know Dolphins are smart, talented creatures,no doubt about that, but I had no ideas painting was one of their skills. with a lot of training this dolphin can be a great painter among animal world i think. well i'm sure that all of you won't miss the World Smartest Animal Ever which is posted here on the crazy world before.

Xiaoqiang, a dolphin from Qingdao, in China’s Shandong Province has learned to paint, under the guidance of his trainer. Looking at his work, I’d say he still has a long way to go before becoming the second Rembrandt, but he’s well on his way.

Here's another picture of the World Smartest Dolphin Ever who could paint on a canvas Xiaoqiang,

Hello Dr. Jekyll!

Back last summer, I wrote about Serge Gainsbourg, a popular and influential French singer who became drunk and insane in the eighties.

Make no mistake about it, Gainsbourg was a creep. In addition to the stuff I linked to in that post, one of his last 'hits' was a song called "Lemon Incest" - sung with his then-12-year-old daughter, who would eventually go on to a nice career of her own.

Even in the early days, he was pushing the boundaries of acceptable taste. One of his most well-known songs is "Je T'aime ... moi non plus", which was banned from radio play in France because of its explicit lyrics and simulated orgasm sounds. This was more than fifteen years before he would burn money on live TV.

But every once in a while, Mr. Gainsbourg would come up with something more mainstream, more in line with acceptable tastes of the time, and actually quite good. Case in point, "Dr. Jekyll et Mr. Hyde".

I've been enjoying this song for a few weeks now. The French is ridiculously simple, to the point where even I can follow most of it (although if you want to cheat, the Youtube page contains lyrics). The plotline, such as it is, is equally easy to understand, in part because it's based on well-known literary characters. And above all, the song is catchy beyond belief - even the verses will stick in your head.

Wei Feng, Shan Tung, the 2nd LED City in China

More and more LED City concepts driven by commercial decision as part of the promotion on creating more revenues by means of Selling LEDs, LEDs application and production. Government Subsidies and regulation (e.g. EISA 2007, EU regulations, Title 24 in California will be important in market Development).
Whereas in China. We are aware of his superfast economy and industrial development, as in less than 10 years time, China will be the World No. 1 in electronics consumer market, Automobile consumer, Oil consumption… and probably the World Richest Country.

China is doing all kind of promotions in the energy saving awareness; we have to go Green in the electrical home appliance, Reduction of emission by banning the use of incandescent lamp.
In China we can see a lot of LEDs, practically 100% Traffic lamps are lit up by Solid State LED, whereas almost “Zero LED” in Hong Kong… what a shame to the Government of Hong Kong!

There is the first LED City Tianjin, and by time I went to Wei Feng where it is about 300 Km from Qingdao of Shan Tung Province,… A lot of LEDs, I think this is not officially announced as the 2nd LED City in China… To me , this is in fact a LED city.

This is some of my snap shots taken by the Nokia N97 mini cameras…I the past few days when I was there for meeting the prominent manufacturers for LED bonding equipment promotions.

There are tacks in my TV!

Earlier this week, the CRTC finally came down and made a ruling on fee-for-carriage, value-for-signal, negotiation-for-value, whatever buzzword you'd like to use, for Canadian over-the-air TV stations.

In essence, your cable bill might be going up, because the stations are now allowed to charge cable companies a price to carry their signal (as specialty channels already do).

Critics of the CRTC's decision seem to take two contradictory flanks - either it's a non-decision, or it's a TV tax.

Calling it a non-decision is ridiculous. For the first time since the invention of cable television in the 1960s, conventional broadcasters can charge cable companies for their signal - how is such a drastic change a 'non-decision'? Yes, the CRTC stopped short of mandating what that fee would be - but that's because if they did, they knew they'd get pilloried for too much intervention!

And speaking of that fee (or tax) - it doesn't exist. It's up to the stations and the cable companies to decide what they want to charge consumers. Cable companies aren't the victims here - the CRTC has made it clear that in a negotiation, everything would be on the table - including the preferential treatment that sees local stations get prime spots on the dial (i.e. CKCO on channel 12, as it is here). If cable doesn't want consumers to pay for the signals (read: doesn't want to pay for the signals), they have plenty of 'valued' things they can give the stations apart from money.

But, hey, if it bothers you that much? Go out and buy an antenna. It's a one-time cost of far less than the average monthly cable bill. Yes, you'll get fewer stations than you do now, but before long you won't miss it - if there's anything you really want and can't get via antenna, it's probably on the Internet somewhere.

This doesn't mean all is well with the Canadian TV system. The CRTC should still look at a 'skinny basic' cable package, digital multiplexing, and finding more ways to increase competition between Canadian broadcasters (and between Canadian cable companies). But it's a start.

Common sense approach to rich internet application design

A colleague passed this on to me recently and I think its just too useful to keep to myself. I am a bit of a newbie in regard to application design, but have had a couple of cool ideas since joining the Samsung Mobile Innovator team. I found this article really useful when trying to put my abstract concepts down into first draft rough designs. Any thoughts or feedback please get in touch.

food activism

Welcome to the era of food activism. More than ever before, how we farm and feed ourselves is how we change the world around us. Worldwatch Institute's Sustainable Agriculture Program highlights the benefits to farmers, consumers, and ecosystems that can flow from food systems that are flexible enough to deal with shifting weather patterns, productive enough to meet the needs of expanding populations, and accessible enough to support rural community.

The program's major focus is on creating a roadmap for farmers, agribusiness, policymakers, international development agencies, private funders, and other agricultural decision-makers to guide them through such challenges as food price spikes, the collapse of major seafood sources, and the emergence and reemergence of animal diseases.

While today's dominant farming systems produce food in abundance, this often carries the steep price of depleted soils, poisoned lands and waterways, rising greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing poverty. When sustainably practiced, however, agriculture can nourish people and support rural livelihoods. It can also protect soils and water supplies and help communities cope with a changing climate.

As more and more people view what they eat as a way to change the world around them, farmers, agribusiness, chefs, parents, and other interested eaters can be harnessed as important allies in addressing hunger, climate change, and other global challenges.

Poll

What do you think is the most important step that the global community can take to reduce hunger and poverty?:

a. Increase funding for agricultural research and investment

b. Recognize the important role that women farmers have in producing food in the developing world

c. Recognize the role of small farmers in food production and compensate them for carbon sequestration projects

Chinese Engineer Make a Robot Cook

Liu Changfa the retired engineer from china made a simple robot cook from a rudimentary tools, like hammer and axe. really simple but powerfull. hope that this Robot cook can help you doing your kitchen work. here's a little story about Liu Changfa the chinese engineer who made this robot cook.

The Chinese inventor connected his robot cook to a laptop computer and a cellphone that allow to choose preset menus, or program it to cook certain dishes. Vinegar, salt, sugar and all other seasoning is stored in the robot’s chest, and the cooking takes place in its belly, where an induction cooker is installed. With the help of some dedicated software, the dedicated robot can be programmed to add a certain amount of seasoning, or stir a dish a certain number of times.

All Liu Changfa has to do is put the raw ingredients into the pot, and wait for the beeping sound, made by the robot. He has already contacted a Chinese restaurant, which will test the robot cook in its kitchen, and add robot dishes on its menu. More restaurants will shortly follow, says Liu Changfa.

Well, I’d wait a while before adding cooking to the list of automated fields, but this is definitely a step in that direction.

This ship is sinking

As the dulcet tones of Alan Ashby and the soothing sounds of Jerry Howarth are currently delivering the first broadcast Jays game of the spring (not that I can hear it where I am - thanks, ever-shrinking Fan Radio Network), it seems only fitting that I pick this time to inform you of my new project.

Blue Jays A.D. (After Doc) is the latest addition to the ever-growing Jays blogosphere, helping fans and former fans make sense of a team that just lost (arguably) its best player ever. It's the combined effort of myself, Comfortable and Furious, and Leafs Fan Forever. We don't really know what it's going to be yet, but we've got some ideas percolating.

You can also follow Blue Jays A.D. on Twitter.

What does this mean for honeygarlic? It's still unclear. Yes, a lot of my writing is going to be focused on the Jays and posted on that blog now. But on the other hand, I've finished up my obligations with The Sputnik, and have yet to line up a new writing job. Maybe the two will cancel out. Maybe I'll be posting here more than I have been. Maybe Dan will lose his job and end up back here (although I'm hoping not).

This blog ain't dead yet. Just don't expect much baseball talk.

--Ryan

(P.S.: Oh, and the title of this post? A rejected potential name for the Jays blog. Also rejected: "Kiss My Purple Butt".)

The Fattest Woman in the Planet Donna Simpson

This Woman Donna Simpson has a bizarre obsession. she want to become the fattest woman in the planet. wow this is the first time i hear about this usually a woman will try hard to get a slim body shape but this woman donna simpson try to become the world fattest woman. nowadays Donna Simpsons weighing 600lbs and she work hard to gain more 400lbs to become the fattest woman in this planet.

42-year-old Donna Simpson weighs 600 lbs, but she’s working hard to put on even more weight, and reach her goal of 1,000 lbs, as soon as possible. It’s not exactly the most craved title in the world, but Donna actually wants to be the fattestwoman in the world. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as you might think, especially since she’s constantly burning precious calories, by “running” after her 3-year-old daughter. Donna has already been acknowledged as the world’s fattest mother, by Guinness, after going through a dangerous C-section operation. Now, the overweight New Jersey resident is eating monstrous quantities of fast-food and sweets, in her quest to get a heart-attack become the fattest woman on the planet.

Eating through an average 12,000 calories per day, when the average woman only eats 2,000, can’t be cheap, so Donna came up with an ingenious way of sustaining her effort. She started a website where men pay to see her eat fast-food…

Hitler Themed Restaurant in Asia

Well this hitler themed restaurant might be one of the most bizarre themed restaurant ever. before this we also has another bizarre themed restaurant in this crazy world such as the amazing flying restaurant and the list of the bizarre restaurant.

The image of Adolf Hitler as the Nazi leaders really looks on the interior of this restaurant The interior is done in the Nazi colors of red, white, and black with large sized Swastika symbols (not the traditional Indian ones) and a huge portrait of the Fuhrer. The actor, Murli Sharma called as a guest of honor to inaugurate the restuarant was amused by the theme but later admitted to having dozed off in his school history period and having lived in a cave since then.

Sushi bars and other Chinese restaurants aren’t the only ones to be found in Asia. Somebody seems to remember Hitler times, because you can have your dinner at Nazi-themed bars and restaurants. Which one looks at you?
