Kris Aquino Will Be Back on Deal or No Deal

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino said she will return as host of the new season of "Deal or No Deal," which is set to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2011.



"Last quarter of 2011 pero it's a new format of 'Deal or No Deal' na nanggaling sa Europe. Matagal pa 'yon kasi magshoo-shooting muna ako. May deadline kasi para sa Metro Manila Film Festival," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN's "Showbiz News Ngayon."



Aquino's last game show, "The Price is Right," aired its final episode last August 13.



It was aired every Saturday (from its original weekday schedule) to cater to working-class Filipinos, she said.



"Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition," hosted by Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, will take over the game show's timeslot starting August 20.

Kris Aquino Leads Yes! Magazine's 2011 Top 20 Endorsers

For the second time around, Queen-of-all-media Kris Aquino has secured the top spot in Yes! Magazine’s Top 20 Endorsers of the Year.

Although Aquino’s life has been an open book, from her life struggles to the successes in her career, Yes! still recognized her charm and her convincing powers in persuading the consumers to patronize her endorsed products.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz,” Aquino thanked the companies and the people who continue to believe in her.

Aquino said everything would not have been possible if not for the people who trust her.

“Of course sa lahat ng mga kumuha sa aking kumpanya to represent them and most especially, gusto ko magpasalamat sa lahat ng taong tumangkilik doon sa mga produktong ine-endorse ko. Hindi ko naman makakamit ang honor na ito sa pangalawang pagkakataon kung hindi dahil sa suportang ginagawa nila,” she said.

Marc Logan Joins Kris Aquino in The Price Is Right

Did ABS-CBN News personality Marc Logan just join the family of “The Price is Right”?

On Saturday, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino surprised everyone when she announced that Logan will be joining her in the show – but just for the episode.

Aquino said Logan will take over the roles of the show’s announcers Rich Herrera and Rich Hardin.

“Wala si Rich Hardin and Rich Herrera dahil kinakasal ngayon si Rich Hardin. Masuwerte tayo dahil joining us Marc Logan,” said Aquino.

Aquino also praised Logan for being physically fit. “Ang laki ng ipinayat mo. Anong ginawa mo? You look good,” she said.

Logan said he had to lose some weight.

“I have to trim down actually. I started trimming down last year, August,” he said.

Logan is famous for featuring human interest stories that normally cap primetime news program “TV Patrol.”

Kris Aquino Says PGT Grand Winner Marcelito Pomoy Deserves to Win

Even early on during the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 competition, Kris Aquino was very vocal about her admiration for Marcelito Pomoy’s singing talent. When Marcelito recently appeared on Kris TV, Kris joked about wanting to marry him, which she also said during the PGT season 2 grand finals.

“Unang rinig mo sa kanya, kikilabutan ka talaga sa galing,” said Kris in a recent interview. She added that her assessment of Marcelito was right when her singer-friends noticed how good Marcelito’s voice is. “Na-realize ko na tama ang opinyon ko about his voice when ZsaZsa (Padilla) said he’s pitch-perfect na very rare talaga, na ang head tone mo makakaya mong pitch-perfect,” explained the Queen of Talk.

Kris continued that what makes Marcelito even better is that he can switch the tone of his voice between female and male. “Tapos ‘yung pag-switch from head tone to chest tone kung ‘yung normal voice, tatlo kaya niya, eh ang galing daw talaga ang sinabi ni Zsing (ZsaZsa) sa akin na wala yang formal training, can you imagine ‘pag naturuan pa yan?” Another singer, Jed Madela, who is known for being a male belter, also told Kris that he was impressed by Marcelito. “Napanood ko siya sa ASAP with Jed tapos sinabi ni Jed talaga na para raw magkaiba sila, nag-head tone si Marcelito, siya (Jed) nag-normal voice. ‘Yung mga litid daw niya (Jed) rito parang puputok para makipagsabayan.”

And unlike other PGT contestants, Kris mentioned that Marcelito never used his life story to get sympathy from the judges or from viewers. “Hindi niya ginamit ang portion ng buhay niya sumali lang siya for his talent na, ‘Oh judge me on this.’

“What I really like about him we’re so used to people telling us their life story para as a judge magustuhan mo. Alam mo ‘yung magkaroon ng sympathy factor. Sa kanya we never knew na until the end nga na ganun pala, pasok na siya semis, dun ko lang nalaman na there was a time tumira siya sa kulungan, yung mommy na kelan n’ya lang nakita.”

The host-actress also hoped that Marcelito goes a long way now that he gets the chance to penetrate showbiz. “I really hope na siya alagaan niya itong talent so ABS-CBN can develop it some more.”

The Queen of Talk is Back on Kris TV

Kris TV is a daily morning program that showcases hot topics, Pinoy trends, practical home solutions, celebrity conversations, music, family and relationship stories… done the fun and engaging “Kris Aquino” way. Kris Aquino Thanks Chiz Escudero for Guesting in Kris TV

TV host Kris Aquino has extended her appreciation to Senator Francis 'Chiz' Escudero for guesting on the pilot episode of her comeback talk show, "Kris TV."

In her official Twitter account, Aquino said her new show, which starts on June 27, got an overwhelming approval from ABS-CBN management.

"Answered prayer: Kris TV got overwhelming approval from ABS management! We premiere June 27, 9:30 AM- back to back w/ Showtime!" the host said.

"I thanked Sen. Chiz because it was what we taped that ABS management previewed. He gave me his time, his trust, & hard to equal intelligent, informative banter & wit," she added.

The president's sister also shared the answer she got from Escudero, who has been romantically linked to her, after she thanked him for guesting on her show.

"I'm sharing portions of his reply to my thank u: 'it was my honor & privilege at maraming salamat din sa tulong... Sa paniniwala... At sa pagkakataon. Congrats again for being able to do what u love doing & what u do best'," Aquino said.

Last June 13, Aquino had a one-on-one interveiw with Escudero at the La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City for "Kris TV."

Aquino said that not only is the senator humble, he is also well-informed.

In a previous interview, she told abs-cbnNEWS.com that she had no idea how the rumor linking her to Escudero started.

The TV host had said there was nothing going on between her and the Senator.

She said she personally invited Escudero to grace her show and the latter agreed.

She had also expressed hope that people who will watch the show will realize there is nothing going on between her and the lawmaker,

Philippine Star entertainment columnist Rickly Lo reported last April that the senator and his wife of 10 years, Elizabeth “Tintin” Flores, had split up.

Aquino, on the other hand, has said that she is not dating anyone, and that she's not in love.
