Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone official

Samsung Electronics today announced the successor of its million-selling Galaxy S smartphone – the Galaxy S II(Model: GT-I9100).  Samsung’s new flagship smartphone is powered by 1GHz Samsung dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with TouchWiz UI v4.0.
It has 4.27-inch (800×480) Super AMOLED Plus screen with RealStripe screen technology packed in just 8.49mm thick body which weighs 116 grams with its 1650 mAh battery inside. The phone has 1GB of RAM, 3-axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensors, proximity sensor, a digital compass, , A-GPS,, HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0+HS, 16/32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and a 8-mgapixel camera with 1flash and 1080p full HD recording.

The Galaxy S II includes access to Samsung’s four new content and entertainment hubs, providing access to music, games, e-reading and social networking services, as well packs a vide range of enterprise mobility solutions, including conferencing and connectivity services from Cisco, mobile implementation of Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and secure remote device management from Sybase.
New for the Samsung GALAXY S II, is the Live Panel service that aggregates live web and application contents to a single customizable home-screen. Customers can design the lay-out of their own Live Panel, online services and mobile apps to appear on-screen. SNS feeds, information and many more applications can all be embedded and accessed instantly through the magazine-like layout.

With included Kies Air users can manage their smartphone contents from their PC, via local WiFi connections and be able to download photos taken on the built-in camera, listen to music, check missed calls and send messages in the web browser on their PC. The WiFi Direct feature will allows consumers to connect to wireless-enabled PCs and printers without the need for wireless access points.
The Galaxy S II should be released in several European and Asian markets this quarter.

Acer Iconia Smart 4.8-inch smartphone with 1024×480 display

Acer has unveiled a new smartphone at MWC 2011 which has a huge 4.8-inch (1024×480) multi-touch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and is called Iconia Smart. It has metal body with dimensions of 141.7 (L) x 64.5 (W) x 13.6 (H) mm and weighting 185g, packs Qualcomm MSM8255-1 processor at 1GHz and runs Android Gingerbread 2.3 with Acer UI 4.2.

The Iconia Smart has 512MB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, G sensor, Light sensor, Proximity sensors, eCompass, Gyro-meter, supports HSDPA 14.4 and WiFi 802.11n speeds, has integrated Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, A-GPS, and 8 megapixel camera with 720p HD recording and LED flash on the back and 2megapixel front camera for video calling. It is also equipped with Dolby surround sound technology, HDMI out that supports 1280×720 video output and a 1500 mAh battery and is expected to be available this May.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pro

Sony Ericsson today reveals another Android based smartphone which seems a full QWERTY keyboard version of the Neo. This business oriented phone also has cratch-resistant, Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
The XPERIA Pro measures 120 x 57 x 13.5 mm and weighs 140 grams,  and unlike its sibling XPERIA Neo, packs a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with Smart Keyboard function that triggers predictive messaging actions automatically depending on the app which you’re using.  It is also powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, has 320 MB RAM, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, Micro USB connector, DLNA support, an FM radio, HDMI out and comes with 8GB microSD in the box. Like the Xperia Neo, the Pro is equipped with a 2-megapixel on the front and 8megapixel Exmor R mobile sensor on the back, then all pictures and videos can be shared on an HD TV in your living room via the built in HDMI-connector.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pro

The phone comes pre-loaded Office Suite Pro to view and edit office documents as well to sync your email on the go. It will be available in Black, Red, Silver colors, and is set to go on sale at the end of Q2 2011.

HTC Desire S announced

HTC Corporation unveils the successor of  its popular Desire smartphone – the HTC Desire S. The company says that the new phone has taken inspiration from HTC Legend and is made from single block of aluminum, it has dimensions of 115×59.8×11.63mm and weighs 130grams.
The heart of Desire S is Qualcomm’s new 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor, has 768MB of RAM, 1.1GB internal storage and a microSD card slot if you want more. The handset runs Android 2.4 Gingerbread OS with updated Sense interface on its 3.7-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display. Other specifications include: g-sensor, digital compass, proximity and ambient light sensor, GPS, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1., micro USB port, front-facing camera for video call and 5megapixel with autofocus, LED flash and 720p video recording, plus 1450mAh Lithium-ion battery.

HTC debuts Incredible S and Wildfire S smartphones

HTC today reveals also the  new Incredible S and Wildfire S Android powered smartphones. The Incredible S has 4-inch touch screen with 480 x 800 resolution, comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 768MB of RAM,  1.1 GB internal phone storage and two cameras – 8 megapixel autofocus with dual-LED flash and 720p HD capable, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing.
The phone measures 120 x 64 x 11.7 mm, weighing 135.5 grams and there is also G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g/n,Bluetooth 2.1 with FTP/OPP for file transfer, micro USB, SD card slot and 1450 mAh Lithium-ion battery. Incredible S will arrive in early Q2 2011, but the price is still unknown.

HTC Incredible S

The HTC Wildfire is the “affordable” one in the HTC lineup and  is one of HTC’s smallest phones, measuring just 10.13cm long and 5.94cm wide. It packs 3.2 inch touchscreen which now offers HVGA resolution, unlike QVGA on the old Wildfire. The phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread backed by 600MHz Qualcomm single-core CPU and paired with 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM. Other features include:  G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with FTP/OPP for file transfer, micro-USB, microSD card slot and 5megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, plus 1230 mAh battery.
