I have been meaning to post this all week and just haven't had time!!!  I wanted to share with you our Christmas card created by the super talented designer behind Bon Vivant, Liza Cleveland!!!  Look a here!!!

I could not be happier with the way they turned out!!  All I told her was I wanted kraft paper and a reindeer head and voila!!!  Go here to see more of her fantastic work or stop by Novel. (341 King Street Suite B) for all you locals to see all of her work!

Now the photography, you know if you follow my blog, is Ashley Warnock's work.  Love, love all the pics she took of my boys at the beach in their Christmas gear.

Ok, on to what I have been up too lately....

Little Sursi

Anyone else with me on this???  Feeling like you can't juggle it all?  Especially this time of year, WHEW!!!!  Anyone else have kiddos who just aren't behavin' or is it just me?  "Elfie" is not doing it for us over here.  He has already flown "home" once and may need to go back again for a talk with Santa?!

Well, when I'm not being the disciplinarian, I have been busy painting up a storm.  Check out a few new $5 goodies from blue chickadee.  They are the perfect size, 4"X6" to fit in your purse to use as a sunglasses holder, lipstick, phone and charger, the list goes on.  Or you may need a cute wrapping for a small sursi-notecards, note pads, jewelry??  Shoot me an email under the contact tab or stop by our big cartel site to purchase.

All $5!!!  What a steal!!

Lately

Thought I would share a few recent pics of what I have been up too lately.....  Hope you don't get bored but there were too many pics to narrow down.  We spent Thanksgiving week with Big R's side of the family on Sullivans Island.  We had the most beautiful weather.  Perfect for these three little badgers to run around on the porch and beach.

Sweet boys with their cousin Baby G - (we have two baby g's so mine goes by mr. big:)

the sweet boy that he is-oh, could he not stay just like this forever????

After a fun filled week at the beach we headed to Columbia to visit my family and attend my sweet godson/cousin's child's christening-is that even correct English???

Little R loving my big brothers old LEGOs from way back in the day that Chattie and Rabbit saved.

My gorgeous cousin Jane and her sweet baby boy after his Christening.  Of course no luck with both boys looking at the camera at the same time, but at least we are:)

Rabbit and Little R!  One of my favorite pics of my dad with my first baby.

Shippin' out

I thought I would share with you one of the latest series of four paintings I did for a friend that's heading out the door shortly.  I can't wait to see them in her son's nursery!!!  Not sure if they will hang four across or two over two?  It could go either way:)

And while we're on the subject of nurseries, check out these adorable rooms!

Nursery Notations

Have you checked out Andrika's blog, Nursery Notations?  She has a talent for designing functional yet playful interiors for children.  I have been following her blog for a long while now and always see inspiring photos here.
Well, much to my surprise, I noticed on her post from yesterday, she mentioned blue chickadee!!!  It's always fun coming across your work on a blog of someone you admire!!!  She helped a customer of mine out with her nursery design a few months back.  Do you remember my post about the UPS disaster???!!!

In my mind, how can you forget???
This was such a disaster!  Shipped all the way to NYC only for it to arrive a week before "baby to be" was to arrive and it came out of the packaging looking like this!!!!  Ahhh!!!!!  Not to worry, this customer took it into her own hands and basically had to redo the entire painting and here it is now...

Go here to see more pictures of her adorable nursery!!!!

Deal vs Steal

Well, let me start by saying that I saw this picture in Cottage Living (I believe) a while back and have saved it as an inspiration piece.  Loved the color and the circles of course!  It just pops!!!

Fast forward a few years, I decided we needed a painting like that in Novel.
To add a little umph to the space, you know.

A little somethin'

Here's a little peak at something I'm working on for a friend.  The color is deceiving because it is actually more of a burnt orange with a reddish tint, but here it does appear red doesn't it?  Well, anyway, you get the idea!!!  I am going to paint the animals a pale blue/ gray to go with the nursery.  This has to be one of my favorites!

I Phone + Camera Dump = Random Post

Happy belated Fourth to all of you!!!  I am running way behind (as usual) and am just now sending out this post from the end of JUNE!!!!  I can't get it together-EVER!!!!  I try but I still am finding it hard to juggle being a momma, working/painting at Novel. and keeping up with day to day life!!!!

Here are some recent happenings in my life..
My friend Sidney, bought these chinese framed prints for her booth at Southern Accents here in Mount Pleasant, and sprayed them white.

I then painted them this gorgeous golden yellow.
Added painted white seahorses.
And voila.
If you are interested in buying these, go check out her booth-it's worth the trip to see all of her "eclectic finds!!!!" Or you may contact me and I can put you in touch.

We have also been suffering from a case of "mischief" at the homestead with a side order of "Whaaaaa!!!!"

But then we have nap/rest time and all is good:)

On to more painting news...

I also had the opportunity to paint a few paintings for some girls who also opened a booth at Southern Accents, called Charleston Revisions.  This series three lighthouses will hang above a twin bed in their booth.

This poppy painting below is another painting that is in the Charleston Revisions booth.  It coordinates with this Hable Construction Clover Poppy fabric (see below).

This is a snap shot of a few totes hanging in Novel.  A great gift for both young and mature for only $14!!!!!

I'll end on this sweet note.  Our dear friend, Miss Perri had the boys over to man a lemonade stand a few weeks ago.  They had a ball and of course reached for "the money box" each time a friendly neighbor approached:)  W need to work on manners and apparently putting a smile on our face (below far right is little r scoffing at something!!!)

Happy Friday to all!!!
