ASUS Transformer Prime tablet Features and Specs

The Asus Transformer Prime features a 10.1-inch Super IPS+ display with 1280×800 pixel resolution, powered by new NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB LP DDR2 RAM, runs on Honeycomb (3.x), but it will later update to Ice Cream Sandwich OS.


The Transformer Prime sports 8 megapixel rear camera having f2.4 aperture with back-illuminated sensor (BIS), which captures more light than conventional sensors and has 1.2MP front camera.

Transformer Prime can be connected with a closing latch to an optional keyboard dock. The overall weight is close to 1 kilogram in that configuration other wise just 586 grams. It is 8.3mm thin.


Connectivity and other options includes WIFI B/G/N, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 3.5mm audio in+out connector, micro-HMDI, microSD reader, GPS, Gyroscope, Compass, G-sensor.

The Transformer Prime comes in two colors: Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold. The body of the Transformer Prime will be made out of metal. The tablet provides a backup of 12hrs.


The 32GB ASUS Transformer Prime is priced at $499. The optional keyboard/doc will cost $149.

The Eee Pad Transformer TF101 comes with a 10.1-inch, 1280-by-800 pixel multitouch screen which is powered by a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz processor an runs on Honeycomb Android 3.1(an update to 3.2 is available now) with 1GB DDR2 RAM. The Transformer has a 5-MP rear camera and 1.2-MP front camera very efficient for taking videos and pictures and is very good when comes to social networking.



The Asus Eee Pad Transformer supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. It has a mini-HDMI output, a micro-SD slot, and a 3.5-mm headphone jack on the right side, a Power button and Volume controls on the left side, connection for cable sync and dock connection (USB keyboard and mouse) are on the bottom.It also integrates an accelerometer and gyroscope. The OS gives full support for Adobe Flash. In 3.1, you can have upwards of 20 apps open at once, all viewable as thumbnails via the multitasking icon.

Along with device you will be getting a USB sync cable and charger. It has a form factor of 6.9 X 10.7 X 0.6 inches and weighs just 1.5 pound and has built-in speakers. It provides a backup of 9 hours and 15 minutes on mixed use and 6 hours and 12 minutes on playing video at high volume, non-stop, while Wi-Fi is on.



For $149 you will get a full QWERTY keyboard dock which transforms the tablet into a netbook. The docking sttaion is a 92% Size Chiclet Keyboard with Multi-Touch Trackpad and has SD Card Reader, 2x USB 2.0 Ports.





The Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 Wi-Fi-only model is priced at $399 for the 16GB model and $499 for the 32GB version. Currently availabile in UK and US. It currently have Netflix support and has a software upgrade that takes the build to 8.6.5.9.



Walmart is offering the 16GB WiFi ASUS tablet for $349. Now available in India with a price tag of Rs 31,499.

Asus Republic of Gamers G53SX is an interesting laptop, it can work in 2D-3D mixed Mode, as the title no need of glasses for 3D viewing, there is a software inside which makes this possible without going down in pixels. The ROG G53SX comes with a 15-inch Full HD screen powerd by a Sandy Bridge quad-core Intel Core i7 processor on Z68 motherboard, Nvidia's discrete GeForce GTX 560M graphics chip (with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM) and a solid state hybrid drive with an SSD partition that runs around 10,000-RPM.


The 2D-3D mixed Mode can work on same screen in separate windows without compromising brightness, contract or color fidelity, exceeding the output of older 3D technology that relies on glasses. Sound is rendered in THX and EAX 5.0 3D for pristine spatial sound in gaming and other applications, with up to 128 additional sound effects.

ASUS Padfone Features, Specs and Review

ASUS is introducing a new concept ASUS Padfone- a phone which gets plugged into a tablet.That is ASUS Padfone,a smartphone with a tablet as an accessory. The tablet has a 10-inch screen where as the smartphone has a 4-inch display with a 5MP rear camera.





With the phone docked, it will recharge automatically and the tablet can also make use of the smartphone’s 3G internet connection. The dual interfaces is capable of delivering activities like video conferencing, web browsing and emailing.



The package consists of two pieces - an Android running ASUS phone which docks inside a tablet when necessary. The smartphone comes with dual-cameras and the tablet will have only a front-facing one, but will be able to use the smartphone’s as its primary rear camera.

The Padfone will run on Android Honeycomb for the Tablet and Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Smartphone.

The device is expected out around Christmas time this year. So we can expect certian more changes.

It will give a back up of 8hrs on its standard 6-cell. No word on pricing or availability at this stage.
