Have Filipinos learned their lesson from the devastation caused by Typhoon Ondoy? This is the question ABS-CBN correspondent Jorge Cariño will answer on Tuesday’s (August 2) episode of “Patrol ng Pilipino.”
Jorge was in assignment in Polangui, Bicol last week when Typhoon Juaning hit Luzon with continuous downpour. There he saw and heard stories on the victims, including that of a whole family killed during the storm.
In the course of finding and delivering his reports, Jorge himself faced difficulties due to the weather. Find out how he was able to continue his patrol of the province despite the hazards of his job in his report.
Meanwhile, join ABS-CBN correspondent Ryan Chua as he embarks on a walkathon along EDSA or Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue, one of Metro Manila’s longest and major traffic routes.
According to Ryan, motorists are not the only ones with concerns regarding the famous highway. Pedestrians who walk and cross the street also have safety, health, and environmental issues that they need to voice out.
“While the government seeks to build more roads and bridges for vehicles, it tends to forget the people. I walked the entire stretch of EDSA the whole day only to realize that it is not walkable at all,” he shared.
Learn from Ryan what else can be done to improve and beautify EDSA this Tuesday (August 2) on “Patrol ng Pilipino,” after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
