Young actress Andi Eigenmann said she wants to resume her career in show business after giving birth to her first child.
In a taped interview aired on ABS-CBN's celebrity talk show "The Buzz" on Sunday, Eigenmann said she still wants to continue to pursue her passion for acting.
She is currently 5 months pregnant and is due to give birth in December.
"Susubukan ko pong bumalik as soon as I can. I didn't enter showbiz for any other reason than gusto kong maging aktres. Ipagpapatuloy ko 'yon, walang makakapigil doon," she said.
Last week, Eigenmann told abs-cbnNEWS.com that she is coping well with her pregnancy. She said that the cast and production staff of "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin," where she plays the role of a female soldier, are taking good care of her.
"Okay naman po. Hindi po ako nahihirapan. The staff and crew and the production are giving me the right amount of protection and care that I need at sinusuportahan nila ako dito," she said.
The 21-year-old star also thanked her fans for their continued support.
"Maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo sa patuloy na pagsuporta niyo sa akin. Sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyo," she said.
Last month, actress Jaclyn Jose admitted that her daughter, Eigenmann, is expecting her first child. Jose and the rest of Eigenmann's family refused to name the father of the baby
